Sewell Shutters manufactures panels using DROP RAILS. Specifications are as follows:
1 1/16" x 2" Beaded Stiles (square & rabbeted) — 3/4" Thick Rails — 1/2" X 5/8" Tilt Rod) Divider / Center Rails: 3 1/4" for panels employing 3 1/2" louvers; 4 1/4" for panels employing 2 1/2" or 4 1/2" louvers. See "PANEL HEIGHT SPECIFICATIONS" for divider/center rail restrictions.
LOUVER CHOICES include 2 1/2", 3 1/2" and 4 1/2" within the Natural Basswood Shutter Line and only 3 1/2" within the ThermoShutter Polymer Line
PANEL WIDTH SPECIFICATIONS are as follows:
Basswood & ThermoShutter
Panel width shall not exceed 36"
Shutter units that have an I.D. of greater than 36" will require multiple panels.
Shutter units that require three or more panels can either be built using one or more T-Posts or using a bi-fold or tri-fold system.

PANEL HEIGHT SPECIFICATIONS are as follows:
Panel height shall not exceed 133"
All Basswood panels will require a (free) divider/center rail at 109"
All ThermoShutter panels will require a (free) divider/center rail at 72"
