SEWELL SHUTTERS is managed by Doug and Dora Sewell, who have been in the plantation shutter business since 1984. Doug created Sewell Shutters to bring the luxury of American made wood and synthetic plantation shutters to homowners nationwide. Meticulous attention to every detail has allowed the partners at Sewell Shutters to provide the best product and service in the window coverings industry. With his team in place, Doug is pursuing designers and manufacturers everywhere who would benefit from what Sewell Shutters offers.

	Doug Sewell – Doug is Vice President of Sales for Sewell Shutters. A retired chaplain (LTC) in the US Army Reserve, he has 25 years of combined military service. He was in active duty in the United States Air Force for 6 1/2 years, during which time he was stationed at Malmstrom AFB in Great Falls, MT. He was also with the 25th Infantry Division in Honolulu, HI. While enlisted in the military, Doug earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He also earned a Master of Divinity degree at Liberty Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, VA. In 1984, Doug accepted a pastoral position at a church in Sulphur Springs, TX. In an effort to support his family, Doug began working for a custom shutter company and learned the trade over the next several years. In 1989, Doug and his family moved back to Dallas and opened a retail shutter sales operation. After successfully building the company, Doug decided to pursue the world of manufacturing. Passing his retail company on to his children, Doug and his wife, Dora, opened Sewell Shutters with the goal of building the highest quality plantation shutters for the most affordable price.
	Dora Sewell - Dora is President of Sewell Shutters. She is married to Doug and together, they have built Sewell Shutters into what it is today. Dora has been in the shutter industry for 16 years. She and Doug have three daughters and two grandchildren. She enjoys reading and flower gardening. Her favorite vacation spot is Nantucket.
	Stephen Wade - Steve Wade is the Marketing Manager for Sewell Shutters. The newest member of Sewell’s management team, he has been with Sewell since February 2008. Prior to joining Doug Sewell’s quest for plantation shutter world domination, Steve was a purchasing agent for DR Horton. His hobbies are reading, volunteering, attending concerts, playing frisbee, and enjoying basketball..
	Jimmie Byers, Jr. - Jimmie is the Production Manager for Sewell Shutters. He has been with Sewell since 2006. Jimmie has a total of 14 years in the plantation shutter industry. He has 2 sons and 1 daughter and spends most of his free time with his family and at church.
	Steve Black - Steve Black is the Design Manager for Sewell Shutters, working with Doug since 2002. Active in his local church, Steve and his family are committed community members who enjoy athletics and outdoors.
